Martex Quilted Breathable Plush White Mattress Pad

Well made & just what I was looking for.

I added this Martex quilted mattress pad to our bed, and it made an immediate difference in comfort. It gives just enough cushioning to soften the mattress without feeling too thick or bulky.

The fabric feels smooth and breathable, which helps keep things comfortable throughout the night. It doesn�t trap heat, so it works well across different seasons. The quilted design also keeps the fill evenly distributed, so there are no lumpy spots.

The deep pocket fit is a big plus. It easily stretches over a thicker mattress and stays in place without shifting around, even after a full night�s sleep. Putting it on was quick and hassle-free.

I also like that it�s machine washable, which makes upkeep simple and practical. It�s a nice upgrade if you want to add a layer of softness and protection without changing the feel of your mattress too much.

The quality is legit. The fabric feels thick and expensive and it has none of that annoying "crinkly" plastic vibe. It�s super quiet and actually breathes well, so you don�t wake up feeling overheated. It definitely feels like a step up from the basic covers you usually find. It has a deep pocket design that fits well over my son's bed. It keeps the bed clean from everyday wear and you can throw this mattress pad in the washer and dryer along with the sheets. This doesn't offer a ton of padding, but it is nice enough to add a little comfort and fluffiness to your bed!

I received this Martex Mattress Pad through the Vine program and have mixed feelings about the fit, though the material itself is quite nice.

The primary issue is that the King size is significantly oversized. It is roughly 6 to 8 inches too wide for a standard King mattress. I have a very deep mattress, and even then, there was a massive amount of extra fabric.

Surprisingly, I didn't have issues with the pad bunching or shifting, but I have to credit my bed sheets for that. I use high-quality sheets with very wide, tight elastic corner bands that fit my deep mattress like a glove. Those sheets are likely what is actually "locking" this oversized pad into place. If you have standard sheets or a thinner mattress, I suspect this pad would shift or lump up due to the excess material.

The fabric is a soft polyester-cotton blend that feels substantial and durable. It doesn't have that "cheap plastic" crinkle sound, and it provides a nice, breathable "buffer" layer. It feels like a premium product, even if the dimensions are off.

This is a well-made mattress pad, but the sizing is inconsistent. If you have a California King or an incredibly deep mattress (and very strong sheets to hold it down), this will work well. For a standard setup, the extra 8 inches of width might be a struggle to manage.

I have had a queen sized mattress cover on my bed for quite some time now. Unfortunately, over time these mattress covers tend to lose their added fluffiness and what you end up with is simply a mattress cover with no (or very little) extra padding. When that starts to occur, it is time to replace the old worn out mattress cover with a new one. That is the situation I found myself in when I ordered this new mattress cover. Off with the old and in with the new so-to-speak. Fortunately, this new mattress pad has some decent quilted padding to it and its large under-layer made it easy to install. Since there was still a small amount of padding that wasn't completely compressed left in the old mattress cover, I decided to take advantage of the generous sized under-layer of this new mattress pad and simply install it over the old mattress pad and not remove the old pad. Of course, this only works if the fitted bottom sheets you already have for the bed also have enough of an under-layer to allow themselves to be inserted as a covering sheet over both old and new mattress pads and the original mattress. My bottom sheets would allow this so having that generous under-layer on the new mattress cover is really an added bonus since it allows the old mattress cover to remain in place while still properly covering the original mattress along with the old mattress cover. Without such a generous sized under-layer, I would have had to remove the old mattress cover thus negating any added benefit the old mattress cover still had left in it. Because I did not have to go through the hassle of removing the old before installing the new and I am still getting some benefit from the old mattress cover in the way of added padding, I am giving this new mattress cover 5 stars because without its generously sized under-layer, this would not have been possible.
